Know Your Other Guardian Angel

We often talk about a Guardian Angel. Some faiths believe that there are angels assigned for our well-being. Others go so far as to point out that some angels act as recorders of our good and bad deeds. They appear once we reach the age of puberty and have reached mental emancipation. So, we are ready to receive praise or blame for deeds that we have independently decided to do. This divinely deployed duo will go on to compile a ‘Book of Deeds’ that will be submitted as a detailed proof of our conduct on Earth on the Day of Judgment.

But here I am not referring to either of those types of unseen but ever-present beings. I am referring to an ‘angel’ of our own making whereby we make spiritualism practical. The understanding under tptChoice is that our relationship with our Creator is not magically woven. There has to be intent and effort at our end – by moving away from a being-self to a doing -self. Some acts are ritualistic and some acts are worldly. Below is an example of a ritual act. The prescription, in essence, is not from tptChoice. It is borrowed from the structured spiritualism acting asp its fountain-head of knowledge and spirit.

This process has multiple steps. A few initial steps are assigned below.

  1. Choose any convenient day of the week [say, Wednesday] and an hour therein [say, 4:30 PM]. This is important so that the exercise that follows may be repeated with regularity in the following weeks before adding additional steps to it.
  2. Make a point of not being drunk, stoned, or in the thrall of pursuit or in the wake of a gambling or sexual episode.
  3. Clean yourself and wear clean clothes. Salvage a clean space and ensure a pure, quiet, solitary ambience for a one-to-one audience with our Maker.
  4. Pray with conviction. Praise Him. Express your gratitude for whatever you have been given. Divulge. Send out ‘Distress Signal’. Relinquish authority. Be sorry. Seek help. Wish for strength to do the right thing henceforth. Close with His praise.
  5. Repeat every Wednesday, 4:30 PM, same preparation, and the same worship.

Drug Use Disorder

Drug Addiction originates in habitually consuming hard drugs [i.e., illegal or controlled substance without prescription]. Entering the body variously [via drinking, smoking and inhaling, snorting, smelling, injecting, inserting, etc.] for the express intention of gaining pure pleasure and relaxation it produces, in the long run it reveals itself to be the Trojan horse it is. It is an induced/acquired mental (i.e., psychological and emotional) and physical disease.
