What is addiction treatment?

In our case, addiction treatment is a long, back and forth, complicated process involving client and counselor. It involves awareness of self, self-preservation and God, understanding the nature of family and society, being able to distinguish between right and wrong, fairness and injustice, responsibility and right, kindness and harshness, lying and honesty, sincerity and deceit, success and failure, disappointment and anger, happiness, fun and seriousness, sharing and discovery, as well as being able to let go of the past, be contrite, have hope, make amends, be able to recognize triggers, being able to form new habits, seeking out reinforcement, and finding support beyond professional presence among family and friends’ circle and in furthering education or career, etc.

What addictions do you treat?

Based on its historic roots, the ‘tptChoice’ program is a holistic, non-denominational, spiritual approach to addiction relief. In particular, in this on-line setup, it seeks to assist with dependencies related to Alcohol, Drug, Gambling and Sex. Owing to common/shared behavioral issues, certain elements of the individual approaches may/will overlap.

Who will be helping me?

First of all, it is essentially a Self-Help program. However, in terms of assessment, knowledge and skill base, you will be provided with ample resources. These resources will always be written. Additionally, they may be be podcast or presented in AV format. You may be able to catch live sessions with opportunity to pose questions and get immediate or delayed response as appropriate.

What is your approach to treatment?

There are two major mutually supporting elements herein: i. Spiritual and ii. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Particular modules therein are likely to be the following and more: Awareness Generation. Understanding Development. Problem Presence Acceptance. Skill Development, including Trigger Recognition and Avoidance. Routine Development for Day-to-Day Management. Follow-through.

How can I be sure that this is an effective form of treatment?

As has been argued in other places on this website, this program is based on the 1,000 years plus success in erasing and subsequently preventing addiction across a wide swathes of humanity through cognitive understanding, surrendering to God’s plan, inching ahead little by little and being consistent about it, finding fellowship, establishing regular prayer and remembering and calling on God, being generous and forgiving, avoiding teasing, name calling, swearing and back biting, hiding people’s secrets, disassembling prior notions and attitudes, establishing justice and goodness, inviting others to uphold the Truth and to inculcate patience.

How long can I be a member?

Membership is on a bi-monthly or step registration basis. Typically, each step of Our 12 Steps should be completed in two months. However, upon delay in completion, any step registration allows access to materials specific to that step for up to 730 days (subject to change). Upon successfully moving to a new step, the new material becomes available for 730 days, while access to materials of the previous step closes.

How much does it cost?

The average monthly expense is $150.00 only. So, for every step of 12 steps, requiring two (2) months to complete, the expense will be $300. Thus, for learning and skill building ideally spreading over 24 months, the grand total will be $3,600.00. This, excludes any applicable sales tax. The credit card processing fee (typically, a 3%) will be shared equally between the vendor and the client.

How can I pay for treatment?

Payment is online using any acceptable credit card. The bi-monthly sums have to be paid lump sum in 12 equal instalments. Bimonthly, because each step should take about two months to master. Otherwise, access to each step will have an upper limit of 730 days (subject to change). Once the initial registration is done – for Step 1 - subsequent payments must be made only after the successful completion of the immediate previous step. Note, with enrollment into every new step will terminate access to previous step.

How will I communicate?

Communication with officers of tptChoice will be made primarily through the email contact provided. In case of emergency or non-responsiveness, direct phone call may be made. Mailing address provided will allow to write letters, also.
